About Forestry….
Forestry is the science of creating, using, managing conserving, and repairing forests and associated resources to meet desired goals, needs, and values for human needs and benefits. The challenge of forestry is to create systems that are socially accepted while sustaining the resource and any other resources that might be affected. The forest science has elements that belong to the biological, physical, social, political and managerial sciences.
Modern forestry generally requires a broad range of concerns to deal with, such as multiple-use management, including the provision of commercial wood or timber, fuel wood, wildlife habitat management, natural water quality and flow management, recreation, landscape and community protection, employment, aesthetically appealing landscapes, biodiversity management, watershed management, erosion control, and preserving forests as 'sinks' for atmospheric carbon dioxide.
Forestry course is a course which is in high demand among the students who have interests in studying about the forests and wild life. There are numerous scopes for this course as the government is on the verge of introducing many of the schemes which are aimed at conserving the forests. As far as the opportunities which are relating to jobs in this field, they are both available in the central government and state government departments.
